Keith Bradley, I might crop this shot a little differently based on my own personal taste. Forget about the rule of thirds, it's a rule and you need to showcase what you feel the photo brings out to you. But I would definitely tone down the highlights in this photo, the background is somewhat distracting. That's what I think.

K.McLennan, I'm sorry but I am using you as a sounding board to get the attention of Cdn Geo staff, as can be seen 29 out of 34 entries is ridiculous. It should be limited to a reasonable number, by posting these kind of numbers it immediately moves everyone off page one and reduces viewing by members and viewers of this site. Change the format and allow limited numbers per day to make it somewhat fair to others. I only hope the staff that controls this site reads this and does something about it. Speak up if you feel the same, as an old timer I have seen this site become less interactive amongst members with comments and critiquing. K. McLennan this is not an attack on you personally but on how the site seems to be passe of late.
