Russell Lynch is a Newfoundland and Labrador landscape and wildlife photographer with a passion for capturing the rugged beauty, wildlife and character of his home province. A full-time firefighter with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department, Russell began landscape photography in 2016 and soon expanded into wildlife photography. His work has been published by Canadian Geographic, Wild Planet Magazine, Saltscapes and The Globe and Mail, and he has worked with Newfoundland & Labrador Tourism. Three of his photographs have also appeared on the covers of novels. Whether photographing a quiet Newfoundland outport at sunrise or wildlife deep in the boreal forest, Russell’s goal is to capture the moments that make Newfoundland and Labrador special and share the way he sees his home through the lens.
