A native of Hamilton, Ontario, Garry was always ready to escape the city with his father and brothers, or scouting troop, to be in nature. Early on he learned to respect nature and the environment and to cherish it. Upon retirement, after a lengthy career in the Navy stationed in Halifax, Garry purchased an acreage just north of Algonquin Park, and settled in the community of Rutherglen, Township of Bonfield and is known to locals as the guy who posts those beautiful pics! Taking up photography only 2 years ago Garry's photography, which is available for purchase, captures his love of wildlife and especially his favourite subject ... the incredibly diverse bird species found in Northern Ontario.
