About Me

Behind every frame is a promise. Dee-Ann lives by a simple truth: what we truly love, we protect. From holding a camera as a young girl on her family’s hobby farm to earning several photo contest awards today, Dee-Ann’s path has always been guided by a deep love for the natural world. Grounded by a science degree and shaped by a brave career change—leaving 23 years in dental assisting at age 38 to earn three university degrees (B.A., B.Sc., B.Ed., OCT)—she creates with gentle empathy, presence, and mindful intention. As an Ontario-based photographer, educator, Shinrin-Yoku, and 2x published author “Grieving A Pet Family Member: Support Guide”, her photography work has been presented and sold in Algonquin Provincial Park. Whether capturing wild biodiversity, writing about life’s quiet moments, or guiding others through loss, Dee-Ann warmly invites us all to cherish, celebrate, and protect the landscapes we call home.
