My name is Scarlette and I'm from Alert Bay. I'm part of a group called EnviroKids: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Enviro-Kids-BC/457450434341503?ref=hl We are incredibly lucky to have lived in very remote areas and to have travelled much of the world to bring our pictures to those who would normally never be able to see such rare and incredible species. Many people are unaware of just how much incredible natural beauty exists in the world, much of it in our own back yards. We realize this is a digital world, but connecting kids with nature is not only important for their development but essential if we want our children to inherit an earth they can live in. We are dedicated to introducing children to nature and opening up the world - and a world of possibilities as well - such as being featured on our site, winning contests or even being published! We are dedicated to kids starting to learn about nature and conservancy as young and in as fun a way as they can. Every single effort that they make makes a big difference. We love your magazine for doing this as well - there is so much beauty in nature, and in Canada, and we are so glad to share it with others.
