When I was young, my Dad impressed upon me the importance of the natural world and all its wildlife, from the tiniest insect to the largest mammal. He taught me that wild places were to be respected and protected, because when they were gone, they were gone forever. When I began my career as a geologist, I had the opportunity to visit wild places where I could take advantage of my interest in nature photography. However it wasn't until I retired two careers later that I could really have enough time to turn my interest into a passion. Thanks for looking at my images...I hope that you enjoy them.
Truly a great image, James. Love the monochrome treatment.
